March 2, 2024'Arab al-Ghawarna are Arab clans who migrated to Palestine and settled in various parts of the Palestinian coast, including the Acre plain, in the village of Jadru, and twelve villages in the Hula Valley in northern Palestine prior to 1948.
The Ghawarna were not a single tribe of common origin but rather a confederation of clans composed of diverse lineages. They included tribes from North Africa, families from Beersheba, as well as groups from the Jordanian desert and the Negev.
Their lands were among the most fertile and productive agricultural areas, which gave them significant economic value. The Ghawarna were primarily farmers who cultivated the land and also engaged in herding, while still preserving the outward lifestyle and appearance of the Bedouin.
