Kfar Aza is an agricultural colony located approximately 5 kilometers east of the Gaza Strip, situated between the colonies of Tzohar and Sderot. It came under full control of the resistance during the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation.
The colony was established in 1951 by immigrants from Egypt and from Tangier, Morocco. It covers 10 square kilometers and is situated at an elevation of 89 meters above sea level. According to 2013 statistics, the colony had approximately 669 colonists.
