Even Menachem Colony

Even Menachem is an Israeli settlement affiliated with the Moshavim Movement, located in the western Galilee, approximately 6 kilometers north of the city of Ma’alot-Tarshiha, at an elevation of around 620 meters above sea level. As of 2017, the settlement had approximately 300 settlers, and it falls under the jurisdiction of Ma’alot.

Even Menachem was established in 1960 on the lands of the depopulated Arab villages of Tarbikha, an-Nabi Rubin, Suruh, and Iqrit, by immigrants from North Africa. The settlement was named after Arthur Menachem Hantke, one of the leaders of the Zionist movement in Germany.

Residents of the moshav primarily engage in the cultivation of deciduous orchards, including peaches, nectarines, plums, and apples. There are also poultry farms for egg production, private guest cabins, boutique wineries, a grocery store, and pick-your-own berry and cherry fields.
