Nataf Settlement
January 19, 2026Beit Shemesh is a Zionist settlement located west of Jerusalem, south of the depopulated village of Beit Jamal. It was established in 1950 on the lands of the depopulated Palestinian village of Beit Natif. Today, its population is approximately 80,600 settlers, covering an area of 34.2 km². Zionist militias seized the area during the Nakba and was one of the Egyptian army’s positions in the 1948 war.
