November 5, 2025Ein HaEmek is a moshav located in northern occupied Palestine on the lands of the depopulated village of Al-Rihaniyya in the Haifa district. It was established in 1944 by immigrants from Kurdistan and expanded onto the lands of Al-Rihaniyya after 1948. The name derives from its location overlooking the Jezreel Valley—“Emek” means valley and “Ein” means spring. According to 2017 statistics, the population of settlers in Ein HaEmek was approximately 767.
