November 5, 2025Nahsholim is a kibbutz and coastal resort located in the north of the occupied Palestinian territories. The kibbutz was established in June 1948 by a group of Zionists who settled in the Palestinian village of Tantura, just weeks after its original inhabitants were either killed or expelled by Jewish forces.
The first residents were members of the Palmach, and they were soon joined by Holocaust survivors from Poland. The kibbutz was established on the lands of the depopulated village of Tantura, in the Haifa district.
As of 2021, the number of settlers in Nahsholim was approximately 700.
