Bar Giora is a moshav in the occupied Palestinian territories, located between the settlement of Beit Shemesh and Jerusalem. It was initially established by the Herut movement on October 18, 1950, by immigrants from Yemen. The moshav was established on the lands of the depopulated Palestinian village of Alar, which was depopulated during the 1948 war, situated northeast of the original village site.
