Giv’at Ye’arim Colony

Giv’at Ye’arim is a semi-cooperative moshav located in central occupied Palestine. It was established in 1950 by Yemeni Jewish immigrants on the lands of the depopulated Palestinian villages of Khirbat al-‘Amur and Dayr ‘Amr.

In the past, most of the settlers in Giv’at Ye’arim worked in agriculture, particularly vine cultivation and poultry farming. Today, many residents are employed outside the village, especially in Jerusalem.

As of 2021, the colony has 1,398 settlers.
